The Auschwitz Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (AIPR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing genocide and mass atrocities. Through education, training, and technical assistance in both regional and international frameworks, AIPR supports States to develop or strengthen policies and practices to advance prevention. Jack Mayerhofer, Chief of Staff at AIPR, will discuss his work at AIPR and the organization’s partnerships with regional networks to advance mass atrocity prevention.
Jack Mayerhofer earned a B.S. in French and Applied Linguistics from Penn State University and an M.S. in Global Affairs from Rutgers University. Prior to AIPR, Jack worked with Peace is Loud in New York, and the Center for the Study of Genocide, Conflict Resolution, and Human Rights at Rutgers University in Newark. At AIPR, he assists with coordinating the activities of the Executive Director and provides logistical and research support to the organization’s Africa Program.
