Child Rights International Network (CRIN) is a creative human rights organization focused on children’s rights. They challenge the status quo because the norms that dictate children and young people’s place in society need radical change. They press for rights – not charity – and campaign for a genuine shift in how governments and societies view and treat under-18s. Using research, policy, art and advocacy to communicate their vision for the future, they encourage people to think critically about the world. CRIN works on all children’s rights issues, but focuses on those that are emerging or neglected in mainstream human rights work.
Speakers:
Leo Ratledge, Co-Director, primarily leading on legal and policy work. His particularly focus of work is on access to justice for children, tackling impunity for sexual violence and how children’s rights are impacted by national security law and policy.
Diana Gheorghiu, Legal and Policy Officer, researches and thinks about the role of law in shaping and realizing children’s rights. She is particularly interested in how law intersects with other areas (business and human rights, law and tech) and interests in how various legal disciplines interact with each other (competition law, and civil and political rights).
