Speaker: Daniel Davies
Three durable solutions are supposed to be available to refugees: voluntary repatriation; integration into the host community; and resettlement to a safe third country. With conflicts dragging on and with reduced Western appetite for resettlement, the eye turns to the possibility of local integration. In this presentation, Daniel Davies will discuss the situation of African refugees in Egypt and the myopic strategies that fail them.
