2021-2022 Recipient of the Vivian Leitner Global South LL.M. Scholarship Profile

The Leitner Center is pleased to announce that the 2021-22 recipient of the Vivian Leitner LLM Scholarship is Estefania Gonzalez, who joins us from Ecuador. Estefania has rich experience working in human rights law in Ecuador, through legal assistance, research and studies. We are excited to have her as a part of the Leitner Center and broader Fordham Law School community.

Estefania’s prior experience includes assisting women suffering from domestic violence, through legal advocacy in the fight to obtain justice as an intern in the Universidad Ecotec pro bono clinic in Ecuador, during her time at university. She gained further experience in legal training from 2020-21, during her time at Universidad Tecnica Particular de Loja.

Estefania graduated from law school Cum laude, amongst the top of her class in 2020. She holds a Bachelor of law (J.D) with a minor in Human rights and Crime science from Universidad Ecotec. She received honors in the program – Dean’s list from 2016 to 2020. She also participated in Model United Nations and the national law competition: Justiapps, where she received recognition for her excellent work, an accolade awarded to the top placed participants at the competition.
