October 27, 2014 (New York, NY) – The Leitner Center is pleased to announce the 2015 Summer Human Rights Institute (SHRI), to be held July 20 to 31, at Fordham Law’s Lincoln Center campus in the heart of New York City. Designed for students and professionals from around the world, this two-week certificate program provides a comprehensive introduction to the theory and application of international human rights law. Participants take part in daily lectures and workshops with Fordham Law professors, supplemented by guest lectures by members of New York’s prominent human rights community. The program provides over 60 hours of instruction + course materials, lunch on weekdays, and extracurricular activities.
The program is suitable both for recent graduates and advanced professionals, and open to students from around the world. On-campus housing is available and the Leitner Center will work with participants to obtain necessary visas and other paperwork.
