Speaker: Khin Lay, Triangle Women's Support Group

Khin Lay is the Founder and Director of Triangle Women’s Support Group, an organization that has worked for women’s empowerment at the grassroots level across Myanmar. Its programs have included activities on reproductive health, parenting and child psychology, human trafficking, human rights, and sexual and gender-based violence, including awareness-raising on international and existing laws. Triangle also offers vocational training to young women on digital literacy, English, leadership and organizational management. Previously, Lay was the leader of the Kamaryut Women’s Wing of the National League for Democracy, where she advocated for the rights of women and was a victim of political persecution. She is also currently a 2017 recipient of the prestigious Eisenhower Fellowship.
